Scholarships

The Organizing Committee of the XXIII International Congress of The Transplantation Society is pleased to offer the Scholarships outlined below.

Successful applicants will be notified before June 1st.

TTS/Astellas Young Investigator Awards (3,000 US Dollars)


Ten (10) awards for Young Investigators will be given to assist with travel and registration costs. These will be awarded to the top 10 scored abstracts whose first author applies for the award and who is under the age of 35 years. Applicants must check the appropriate checkbox on the abstract submission form. In addition the following forms must be provided to tts2010-speakers@meet-ics.com on or before 5 March 2010:

  • Supporting letter from your supervisor or institution.
  • Proof of age (less than 35 years).
Emerging Economies Scholarships (1,000 US Dollars)


Ten (10) awards for Young Investigators from Emerging Economies will be given to assist with travel and registration costs. Young Investigators must:

  • Be Less than 35 years of age.
  • Have a supporting letter from their supervisor or institution.
  • Not have funding from commercial sources.
  • Be the listed presenting author of an accepted abstract in the main Congress.

Abstract scores will be used to determine successful candidates. Applicants must check the appropriate checkbox on the abstract submission form. In addition the following forms must be provided to tts2010-speakers@meet-ics.com on or before 5 March 2010:

  • Proof of age (less than 35 years)
  • Supporting letter from supervisor or institution.

Supporting Materials must be sent by email to tts2010-speakers@meet-ics.com on or before 5 March 2010.

The subject line of the email must state “TTS Scholarship and your ABSTRACT Number.” The content of the email must include your full name and institution as well as the type of scholarship you would like to apply for (multiple application possible).


CST Awards


The Canadian Society of Transplantation will also provide a limited number of travel awards to eligible members of CST – for information go to www.cst-transplant.ca or contact the CST office at cst@rcpsc.edu.

All Awards will be paid on-site at the Congress. Recipients must collect their awards in person, and produce valid government photographic identification.
